Auto Tech Inc - Auto Repair and Auto Body Shop

Experienced Technicians Offering Top-Quality Automotive Services & Collision Repair

Larry and Cheryl Benn opened "Auto Tech Inc in 1995. Larry graduated from NICC in auto mechanics in the mid-80s and had previously worked for other independent auto repair shops and a Chevy dealership. Experiencing the auto repair business as a technician, Larry had a vision of being able to provide better customer service and a better atmosphere for employees with his own shop. So, he started on his dad’s farm, fixing cars for friends and neighbors.

When Larry was ready to move into Dyersville proper, he bought a two-acre cornfield in a good location next to a major highway and built a brand-new building. At the time, Auto Tech was the only business in the area, but other businesses soon followed. Now, we have business on both sides of our auto repair facility—six in all—and there are 13,000 cars that drive by every day! As for Larry, he still enjoys being at the shop and is usually the first one to arrive and the last one to leave.
